This is 100% effective in the control of algae in our fish pond.
A co-worker with Koi ponds suggested that we use this product in greenhouse cooling pad systems for algae control. I've used this in 5 commercial greenhouses for the last 4 months and so far there is not any evidence of an algae problem anywhere. Other products either destroy the cardboard cooling pads or are very expensive to use or simply do not work. Using about 2 tablets per month per 100 gallons of water seems to do a great job at a very reasonable price. Tetra would do well to explore entry into the commercial greenhouse market.
I have been fighting algae all summer and really do not like to put chemicals in my Koi/Goldfish pond...I put one in last week and water is crystal clear!
Our 200 gal. pond was filled with algae. We used the Tetra Pond Block and in 2-3 weeks the algae was dead and all we had to do was clean the pump filter every day for a week and now the water is clear and we can see the fish again.
